Dominican's Financial Aid Portal
Welcome to Dominican's Financial Aid Portal. This portal gives you, the student, an opportunity to take a more active role in the management of your financial aid experience at Dominican by providing you with 24/7 access to:
- Check the status of your financial aid application
- Download and print any requested documents
- Review the status of submitted documents
- View your current financial aid award
- Read messages regarding your financial aid and eligibility
- Verify loan disbursement dates and amounts
- See your loan history so you can be aware of the amount you have borrowed
LOG IN Instructions
In order to access Dominican's Financial Aid Portal, you must have a financial aid record established at Dominican. A financial aid record is established when a student is admitted into a degree-seeking program.
If you have not yet created an account for the Financial Aid Portal, please follow the instructions in the First Time User? section below.
Once an account is created, please refer to the Returning User? section.
Instructions for Dominican's Financial Aid Portal

First Time User?
To create your Dominican Financial Aid Portal account, click on the "Create My Account" link in the LOG IN box (upper right corner of this page). You will be prompted to enter your Dominican ID number. Your Dominican ID is a 9 digit number and starts with at least two zeros. Your ID number can be found on correspondence (both email and mail) from the Office of Financial Aid or on your Dominican ID card. The number on your Dominican ID card does not have the leading zeros so you will need to add them when entering your ID number.
- If your ID number on your card is 5123456, then you would enter 005123456.
- If your ID number on your card is 312345, then you would enter 000312345.
- If your ID number is 021234, then you would enter 000021234.
Next, you will need to answer two identity questions. Once your identity is confirmed, you will create and answer two security questions. The Office of Financial Aid does not have access to your questions or answers, so make sure you can remember them. Below the security questions, you will enter and confirm a Password for your account. Your Password must be at least 9 characters in length, include at least one upper case, one lower case number, a number, and a special character, e.g. !@#$%^&*(). Enter your desired Password in the first box and re-enter it in the second box. When you are finished, click "Submit". You will return to this page and then need to follow the Returning User? instructions to log in.
If you have already created your Dominican Financial Aid Portal account, you are ready to log in. Enter your 9 digit Dominican ID number with leading zeros and the Password you created in the LOG IN box (upper right corner of this page). Then, click "Submit".
Forgot Your Password?
Everyone forgets a password now and then. You can try to log in with different passwords up to 5 times. After the 5th attempt, your account will be locked. Prior to locking your account, if you can't remember your password, click on "Forgot your Password?" in the LOG IN box (upper right corner of this page). Enter your 9 digit Dominican ID number with leading zeros and click "Submit". You will be asked to verify your identity by answering a security question. Once your identity is verified, enter a new Password. Your Password needs to be at least 5 characters and should be a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. When you are finished, click "Submit". You will return to this page and then need to follow the Returning User? instructions to log in.
Please Note: The Office of Financial Aid does not have access to your security questions, your answers, or your Password.
Locked Your Account?
If you are unable to access your account, please contact the Office of Financial Aid using the contact information at the bottom of the Reminders & Alerts box to the right. Please include the exact message and code you received when the login attempt failed.
